Temari

Japanese embroidered balls
Temari are traditional Japanese embroidered balls.

What are they for? They’re simply beautiful. You can display them as ornaments, give them as gifts, use them as actual toy balls, or add a string and turn them into hanging decorations.

You can learn more about temari — and find guides for many of the designs shown here — at TemariKai.com. The site hasn’t been updated for a long time, but it still seems to be the best one about temari. (I am not affiliated with them in any way, and neither of us receives any profit from this page.)

One day I may buy a huge glass vase and put them all inside for display.
